Lovecraft

In the most recent episode titled "Lovecraft", some hit men, lead by a rather flexible woman, come after Catwoman (hereinafter referred to as 'Cat'), who happens to be staying at the Wayne household. In these scenes, we see that Alfred can clearly defend himself to a great extent as he fights of the perpetrators after urging Bruce and Cat to run (You go, Alfred!). They obey and end up in the streets where Cat takes Bruce to a place well-known to street kids. Here, Cat runs in to an old friend by the name of Ivy and sources reveal that this girl is intended to be the fetus villain Poison Ivy. She doesn't say much but in the words of Cat, "She's scary." After going through the motions, Bruce and Cat find themselves trapped in a building being hunted, in a sense, by the hit men and luckily Cat manages to escape. Bruce is left to fend for himself but he had no need to worry because he was not part of the "contract". I wonder who signed it. Soon after, Alfred shows up and he and Bruce have a heartwarming hug.

Lovecraft is (or was, considering that he's now deceased) the name of the man assumed to be behind the Wayne murders. Because Cat witnessed the murder, Gordon believed these hit men were sent by him leading him to confront Lovecraft in his home. His claims are questioned when he finds Lovecraft cowering in his room, gun at the ready, claiming that the same people were coming after him. Lo and behold, seconds later, the lead woman and her entourage bust in the house. Gordon tries to fight them off but is knocked out and when he comes to, there is a surprise for him in the bathroom. Lovecraft in the tub with a bullet hole smack in the middle of his forehead and Gordon's gun on the floor.

The mayor dubs this murder a suicide, no doubt to save himself from any trouble the murder would cause him. Naturally, the mayor blames Gordon for everything because he's a class A douchebag. In the end, Gordon gets reassigned to work at Arkham and that, to say the least, is going to be interesting.

  1. I really like how you take a personal interest and bring it into your blog. Its fun and interesting to read since I have loved Gotham movies but never actually gotten into full Gotham. I am definitely going to look at your blog a lot :)

  2. How did you feel about Cat's character in the show? I was not so sure about including her character early into batman's life but I think it could work well. I was just very curious as to how she would fit. How well do you think they did with her character early on?

  3. I think the actress that plays Cat fits the exact persona of Catwoman. She's sly, thimble, and kind of emotionally-detached. I think it might have been necessary for them to include her this early in Bruce's life because they way they have the show going, everyone is young and it's not like they are going to jump ahead 20 years any time soon.
